Welcome to Fremont Place

Fremont Place Info

Fremont Place is a beautiful, private, and gated historic community of 73 homes at the intersections of Wilshire and Rossmore Boulevards, adjacent to Hancock Park. The neighborhood exemplifies some of the best period architecture including Italian RenaissanceGeorgian ColonialFrench Normandy, and Beaux-Arts. Nearly every house has an incredible story. The enclave's early residents were a who's who of Los Angeles society.

In 1911, the Fremont Group announced in the Los Angeles Times that it was developing a subdivision of prestige residences where no home would cost less than $7,500. The Fremont Group were in fierce competition with the R.A. Rowan Company who were representing the Windsor Square Development along the north side of Wilshire Boulevard. The Fremont Group won.

To signal the exclusivity of Fremont Place, the developers installed Greek revival-style poured concrete gateways that appeared to be granite. They also employed the best local engineers to create the broad, winding drive. Landscape architects installed the finishing touches to make the neighborhood's beauty unparalleled in Los Angeles. Fremont Place's convenient location, strong homeowner association, stunning architecture, and guard-gated entrances ensure that it's always in high demand.
