Homes for Sale in Beverly Hills Flats

Beverly Hills Flats (a.k.a. The Flats) is one of the country's most expensive and exclusive neighborhoods. The housing stock consists of single-family luxury homes and estates priced much higher than the Los Angeles County average. The terrain is level, and the oversized parcels here are quite large compared to Bel Air or Brentwood. Backyard pools and tennis courts are commonplace in The Flats, and the biggest properties have both.

The Flats section of Beverly Hiills is bordered by Santa Monica Boulevard to the south, Sunset Boulevard to the north, Doheny Drive to the east (forming the border with West Hollywood), and Whittier Drive to the west.

The community is defined by gorgeous tree-lined streets, large lots, and a laid-back atmosphere. Homes tend to be large, with a variety of architectural styles. You'll find mid-century gems, European-style mansions, and stunning modern homes sitting side-by-side under the shade of stately mature trees.

Tranquility reigns supreme in Beverly Hills Flats, and residents can make their way through the neighborhood without a car. Locals can often be seen jogging or cycling through their community, enjoying the California sunshine as it filters through the tree canopy.

Beverly Hills Flats is purely residential but includes genuinely beautiful parks and green spaces to enjoy. Located at the neighborhood's northern border, Will Rogers Memorial Park is popular with locals and visitors. Opened in 1915, this small park provides a serene atmosphere for relaxation and contemplation. Enormous mature trees provide shade, while a family of ducks living in the park's pond provides entertainment.

Beverly Gardens Park is a popular linear greenspace, running parallel to Santa Monica Boulevard between Wilshire and Doheny. This 2-mile park was completely overhauled in 2014 and is now a fantastic place to exercise or relax. Beverly Gardens Park features public art, fountains, and specialty gardens. The park is also home to the famous Beverly Hills sign, which provides an irresistible photo opportunity.

October brings the annual Beverly Hills Art Show to the park. Two entire blocks transform into an outdoor market, with visitors arriving from far and wide to peruse fine art and sample delicious snacks from a collection of gourmet food trucks.

There isn't any commercial activity in Beverly Hills Flats, but some of the best shopping and dining in the world are mere minutes away. Beverly Hills' Golden Triangle is the City's main attraction, with Rodeo Drive drawing visitors from every corner of the world. There's high-end shopping on Rodeo Drive and throughout the Golden Triangle, as well as an incredible selection of dining options.

On Sundays, the Beverly Hills Farmers Market is the place to be. Held just beyond Beverly Hills Flats' southern border, the market offers the best selection of locally grown produce, as well as excellent live music and people watching.

Located just to the north of Sunset Boulevard, the 5-star Beverly Hills Hotel has been a celebrity favorite since opening in 1912. The hotel still recalls Hollywood's Golden Age and is a popular place to host parties and events. Locals often enjoy a cocktail in the elegant bar or dinner on the famous Polo Lounge's atmospheric outdoor patio.

When available, Beverly Hills Flats neighborhood information will be included along with local schools and similar homes for sale within the 90210 zip code.
